Sabal Trust’s Kari Mainelli, CPA Selected as CFO of the Year Finalist by Tampa Bay Business Journal

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (March 3, 2014) – Sabal Trust, the largest employee-owned trust and investment management company in Florida, announces its Chief Financial Officer Kari Mainelli, CPA has been selected as a finalist in Tampa Bay Business Journal’s CFO of the Year awards in the medium private company category.

The awards honor top-performing CFOs in Tampa Bay by recognizing financial professionals with a proven track record of outstanding performance in the role of corporate financial stewardship. Finalists were selected by a distinguished panel of judges in the Tampa Bay business community, based on criteria including: their role in the organization; contributions to the community; strategic initiatives employed; and integrity and ethics in management and business practices.

“This honor is well deserved as Kari’s duties as CFO have been integral to the success of Sabal Trust and its clients. Her input helps to determine strategic decision making for the company, which in turn results in positive portfolio performance for our clients,” said Ward Curtis, Chairman and CEO of Sabal Trust.

Kari joined Sabal Trust in 2009. She earned a Bachelor of Science and Master of Accounting from the University of Florida. Kari is dedicated to the community through service with organizations including: American Stage Theater Company, Suncoast Voices for Children, Lutheran Church of the Cross, Junior League of St. Petersburg and Big Brothers Big Sisters.
