Sabal Trust Employee, Susan Mittermayr, Recognized
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Sabal Trust is proud to congratulate Susan Mittermayr on her nomination for 2007 Business Woman of the Year sponsored by the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce. Winners area being announced at the 2007 Women’s Symposium held at the Renaissance Vinoy on March 21, 2007. This is the second straight year that a Sabal employee has been nominated for this honor.
Mrs. Mittermayr, a founding Principal at Sabal Trust, has over three decades of experience helping others in St. Petersburg. Since 1976, she has worked in the fields of banking, trust administration, guardianships, investment management and estate settlement. Mrs. Mittermayr helped start Sabal’s predecessor company, Fiduciary Services Corporation in 1993 and has been instrumental in the growth of Sabal Trust. She currently manages the Fiduciary Support Services division which works with local firms to provide back-room fiduciary recordkeeping services.
Over the last fourteen years, Mrs. Mittermayr has supported numerous community charities. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg as well as being the Secretary of the Board, a member of the Executive and Investment Committees and the Board Liaison for the Annual Partners Campaign. Susan is a member of the Rotary Club of St. Petersburg and is a past President, Board Member, Board Treasurer and Assistant District Governor for Rotary International. Mrs. Mittermayr received multiple Paul Harris Fellow and Benefactor awards during her past 14 years with this organization. She is presently a district trainer for Rotary International District 6950.
Mrs. Mittermayr served on the Board of Directors for Alpha, A Beginning, Inc. from 1993 – 2002 and served as the President during her tenure. Susan is currently a parishioner of Cathedral of St. Jude Cathedral and previously served as a member of the school’s advisory council.
Mrs. Mittermayr received a B.S. in Business Administration from Erskine College. She is a graduate of Florida Trust School and the Darden School of Business.
