Sabal Trust Employee, Elizabeth Knowles, Recognized
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Sabal Trust is proud to congratulate Elizabeth Knowles on her nomination for 2006 Business Woman of the Year sponsored by the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce. Winners were announced at the 2006 Women’s Symposium held at the Renaissance Vinoy on March 2nd, 2006.
Ms. Knowles, a Principal at Sabal Trust, has more than three decades of experience helping others in St. Petersburg. Since 1973, she has worked in the fields of trust administration, investment management and estate settlement. She has been responsible for administering hundreds of accounts for local clients while also overseeing compliance to regulations stipulated by governmental agencies.
Throughout her career, Ms. Knowles has supported a number of community charities and she continues to give generously of her time. She currently serves on the Board of Trustees for Hospice of the Florida Suncoast Foundation. She is also involved in the St. Petersburg College Foundation where she serves on the Board of Trustees and chairs the Planned Giving Committee. She chairs the Scholarship Committee for Mid-Day Business & Professional Women / St. Petersburg – Pinellas, and serves on the Board of Directors for Florida United Methodist Foundation. Ms. Knowles is also involved with her daughter’s Girl Scout troop. Ms. Knowles received a BA from the University of South Florida and is a graduate of the National Graduate Trust School at Northwestern University.
