IT Support Specialist (St. Petersburg)

Sabal Trust Company, Florida’s largest employee-owned trust company, is seeking an information technology professional to join our team in the St. Petersburg, Florida office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides first level IT support for users, including the potential repair and replacement of hardware and software with the objective of returning equipment to service timely
  • Liaison between Sabal Trust Company and Managed Service Provider (MSP).
  • Escalates to MSP per established procedures
  • Monitors and tracks issues escalated to MSP and provides timely updates to users as needed
  • Keeps a record of all hardware and software issues
  • Maintains an accurate inventory of all equipment, software, and software licenses including ordering and retiring equipment
  • Provides end-user training where needed • Works with third-party technology and communication vendors to ensure timely and continued service
  • Coordinates technology during on-boarding and off-boarding of personnel
  • Works with MSP to perform hardware/software upgrades on a regular basis
  • Provides IT Security Training to all new and existing employees
  • Leads annual IT audit as authorized by the Board of Trustees
  • Protects organization by utilizing cyber security best practices and following the Sabal Trust Information Security Policy
  • Maintains knowledge of technology innovations and trends
  • Documents internal procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Requires Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related fields
  • 2-3 years of related experience
  • Proven hardware and software experience, including Microsoft Windows OS, Office 365/ Azure, Adobe products, and VPN
  • Networking and virtualization experience
  • Understanding of Active Directory, Azure Virtual Machines, and Azure Active Directory
  • Desire to help others through daily interactions with clients and colleagues
  • Strong organization skills
  • Good communication skills and ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Credit and background screening required
  • Ability to travel to ancillary offices (20% of time)
