Our principals are invested in the Tampa Bay community, and own approximately 65% of the company. An asterisk indicates that the individual is also a Director of the Company.

Kathleen J. Belmonte, CTFA, AEP®

Kathy’s community involvement includes membership on the board of SERVE – Volunteers in Education; the Saunders Foundation; the Professional Partners Committee of the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center Foundation; and the Professional Advisory Committee of the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay. Kathy is a member and past president of the Tampa Bay Estate Planning Council and is a past president of the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils. Kathy is a graduate of Florida Trust School and holds the designations of Certified Trust and Financial Advisor, and Accredited Estate Planner® .

Heather R. Boone, CFA

Heather Boone supports the community through her involvement with the University of Miami, its Alumni Association and its Tampa Bay Alumni Club. She serves on the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year committee; is a graduate of the Chamber's Leadership Tampa, class of 2009; and is a Cabinet Member of Leadership Tampa Alumni. Heather earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance and economics from the University of Miami, and is a graduate of the Florida Bankers Association Trust School. Heather holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and is a member of CFA Tampa Bay and the CFA Institute. With more than a decade of investment management experience, Heather is a member of Sabal Trust Company’s Investment Committee.

Brian H. Ceras 

Brian Ceras is committed to serving the St. Petersburg community. As a member of the Northeast Exchange Club, he is actively involved in improving the lives of children and in the prevention of child abuse. Brian is also a member of the Suncoast Estate Planning Council. He earned a Bachelor of Science from Florida State University and is a graduate of the Florida Bankers Association Graduate Trust School. Brian has nearly a decade of experience in trust administration and investment management.

Rose M. Cruz

Rose Cruz serves the Ocala community as a member of the Estate Planning Council of Marion County, a member of The Villages’ Rotary Club and service on St. Theresa Catholic Church’s Finance Committee. Rose is a graduate of Mercy College in New York and of the Florida Bankers Association Trust School. Rose has more than 20 years of experience in trust administration and investment management.

Ward J. Curtis, Jr.*
Chairman / CEO

Ward Curtis is firmly invested in the community, with service on the boards of All Children's Hospital, American Stage Theater Company, The Arts Center, Children's Dream Fund and a number of other local charities. Ward earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Central Florida and is a member of the university’s Business Hall of Fame. He is also a graduate of the Tuck Executive Program at Dartmouth College. He offers more than a quarter century of experience in investment management and trust services. Ward serves as the Chairman of the Board and CEO of Sabal Trust Company.

Gary W. Davis

Gary Davis enjoys an active lifestyle through volunteer activities with the Boy Scouts of America and through service with the American Cancer Society’s Planned Giving Council. He is a supervisor for the North Sumter County Utilities Dependent District and a member of New Covenant United Methodist Church. A graduate of the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Business Administration, Gary has more than 30 years of experience in investment management and trust administration.

Lucas DeVicente, CFP®

Lucas DeVicente is a fifth generation resident of St. Petersburg and is deeply committed to the community. He is a graduate of Leadership St. Pete and an active volunteer with the Mayor's Mentors program. Lucas serves on the Board of Trustees for the St. Petersburg Museum of History, and is a member of the Morean Arts Center Ambassadors Group. He also serves on the Boy Scouts Distinguished Citizens Award Committee. Lucas received his BS in Business and his Master's in International Business from the University of Florida. He is a holder of the Certified Financial Planner™ designation and a graduate of the Florida Banker's Trust School.

Kimberly A. Early

Kimberly Early commits her personal time to her church and to youth activities, as a trustee and co-chair for CASA’s annual Peace Breakfast as well as a member of the Planned Giving Committee for the Children’s Dream Fund. Kimberly is a past president of the Home & School Association at St. Raphael Catholic School and remains active with this group. She provides more than a decade of experience in investment management. Kimberly earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Florida and is a graduate of the National Graduate Trust School at Northwestern University.

William A. Eickhoff, CFA*

Bill Eickhoff serves on a number of local Boards of Directors, including the University of South Florida Foundation, the Sun n' Fun Aviation Foundation and the Florida Air Museum Inc. In the past, he has given his time as a director of the Experimental Aircraft Association, the Children's Home Society, St. Anthony's Hospital and the USF Alumni Association. Bill earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration from the University of South Florida. Bill holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and is a member of the CFA Institute. He offers more than a quarter century of investment experience to his clients.

Laurence R. Fasan*

Larry Fasan serves the community through his work as an Advisory Board Member for the Salvation Army St. Petersburg Area Command and as an Advisory Council Member for Tampa Bay Watch. He is a Council Member for the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay and serves on the Planned Giving Committee for the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center Foundation. Larry earned a Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University and is a graduate of the National Graduate Trust School at Northwestern University. Larry offers more than a quarter century of experience in trust administration and investment management.

Jennifer Garbowicz, CFA

Jennifer Garbowicz serves the community through her commitment to St. Anthony’s Hospital where she is a lifetime member of the Auxiliary and serves on the Board of Trustees of the St. Anthony’s Hospital Foundation. She serves on the Board of Directors as President of CFA Tampa Bay. Jennifer earned a bachelor’s degree from Eckerd College and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Tampa. She holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation, is a member of the CFA Institute, and is a graduate of the American Bankers Association National Trust School.

Charles H. Kard, CFA

Charles Kard, a lifelong resident of St. Petersburg, is deeply committed to the Tampa Bay community. He supports child abuse prevention and other causes through his involvement in the Exchange Club of St. Petersburg, where he is a past President. Mr. Kard is a member of CFA Tampa Bay and the Suncoast Estate Planning Council, and is an active member, Past President and Finance Chairman of his church. Mr. Kard graduated from Stetson University with a Bachelor of Business Administration. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and has over a decade of experience in investment management.

Elizabeth J. Knowles

Beth Knowles demonstrates her commitment to the community by giving her personal time and expertise to a variety of organizations, including serving on the Board of Trustees of the Suncoast Hospice Foundation for more than 20 years. She is a member of Business and Professional Women/St. Petersburg – Pinellas and serves on the St. Petersburg Palladium Advisory Committee. Beth also participates in the Pinellas County Estate Planning Council. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Florida and completed National Graduate Trust School at Northwestern University. Beth has more than 35 years of experience in trust administration.

Ronald E. Koepsel, JD, CTFA

Ron Koepsel serves the community by volunteering as a board member with the Southwest Florida Planned Giving Council; as a trustee with the All Children's Hospital Foundation Board; and as a board member of the Southwest Florida Estate Planning Council. Ron earned a Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University and a Juris Doctor from Northern Illinois University, and he is a licensed attorney in both Illinois and Florida. Ron holds a Certified Trust and Financial Services Advisor designation and is a member of the Florida Bar Association and the Sarasota County Bar Association.

Gerard J. Lachnicht, CFA

Gerry Lachnicht has served as an Advisory Board member for Florida International University’s Chapman Graduate School of Business. He has taught undergraduate courses as an adjunct professor at Florida Atlantic University and was involved in the creation of FAU’s Equity Research Analyst Program. Gerry is a graduate of Florida International University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Science in finance. Gerry holds a Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and has held leadership roles for more than 10 years, including a term as president of the CFA Society of South Florida.

Kari C. Mainelli, CPA, Chief Financial Officer

Kari Mainelli is dedicated to her community through service on the Board of Directors for American Stage Theater Company as well as Suncoast Voices for Children, where she currently serves as treasurer. Kari currently serves on the Operational Support committee for Lutheran Church of the Cross, where she is a past treasurer. She is a sustaining member of the Junior League of St. Petersburg and has served as a big sister in the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization. Kari is a Certified Public Accountant and earned a Bachelor of Science and Master of Accounting from the University of Florida. She is the Chief Financial Officer of Sabal Trust Company.

Susan S. Mittermayr *

Susan Mittermayr has generously invested herself in local business and community organizations. She is a member and past president of Suncoast Estate Planning Council, serves as Vice Chair of the board of the YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg and is an active member and past president of the Rotary Club of St. Petersburg. She serves on the Parish Finance Council at St. Jude Cathedral. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Erskine College and is a graduate of the Florida Graduate Trust School. Susan attended the Executive Education program at the Darden School of Business. Susan’s experience in investment management spans more than two decades.

G. Lowe Morrison, CFA*

Lowe Morrison is committed to improving the communities and the environment in his native west coast of Florida. He is a trustee of the Frank E. Duckwall Foundation; a member of the Board of Trustees of Mote Marine Laboratory; and a member of the Board of Directors of New College Foundation, Inc.; and he serves on the Advisory Council of Tampa Bay Watch. Lowe received a Bachelor of Science from the University of South Florida. He holds a Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and is a member of the CFA Institute. Lowe has more than 25 years of investment management experience.

G. Bruce Mullin, CFA, CFP®

Bruce Mullin proudly served our country while in the United States Marine Corps. More locally, Bruce has been deeply involved in helping medically challenged children and adults through volunteering at the Easter Seals of Southwest Florida Inc. Bruce currently serves on the Trustee's Committee of the Pinellas County Foundation. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Stetson University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of South Florida. He holds a Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and is a member of CFA Tampa Bay Society, and he holds a Certified Financial Planner® designation.

Scott L. Pieper, CFA*

Scott Pieper is involved in a variety of charitable and philanthropic organizations in the Tampa Bay area. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Conn Memorial Foundation and on the Investment Committee of the Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA. Scott is a member of the CFA Institute and a past president of CFA Tampa Bay. He received a Bachelor of Arts from Lehigh University and an MBA from the University of South Florida, and he completed the Executive Education program at the University of Virginia's Darden Graduate School of Business. Scott holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and is a graduate of the American Bankers Association National Trust School.

Brent L. Prudhomme

Brent enjoys giving back to the St. Petersburg community through his work on the Board of Trustees of the Police Athletic League, a charity committed to providing the underprivileged youth of St. Petersburg with the opportunity to become involved with positive activities such as athletics, recreation and education. Brent earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Northwestern State University in Louisiana. He is a 2010 graduate of the Florida Bankers Association Graduate Trust School. Brent has more than seven years of experience in investment management and trust administration.
